1. What is your Return Policy?

Food Basics Canada Return Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item and receipt within 14 days for a refund or product exchange.*

Corporate Brand Products Return Policy

All of our Corporate Brand Products (Master Choice, Equality, Body Basics, Solutions 1-2-3 products) are backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item and receipt within 14 days for a refund or product exchange.*

Returns with a Receipt

  • If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item and receipt within 14 days for a refund or product exchange.
  • Refunds will be issued in the same method of payment as the original purchase:
    • Purchases made with a debit card will be refunded to the original debit card
    • Credit card purchases will be refunded to the original credit card

Returns without a receipt

  • Provided that the product is unopened or unused, a product exchange will be offered at the same value as the original item.

Exceptions

  • The following items will not be eligible for a refund or exchange without a receipt. If these items are open, they will not be eligible for a refund or exchange even with a receipt.
    • Tobacco
    • Batteries
    • Baby Formula
    • Diapers
    • Razor Blades
    • Personal Garments
    • Special Event Tickets
    • CDs, DVDs, Videos & All Electronics
    • Books & Magazines are not eligible for refund or exchange with or without a receipt

We reserve the right to refuse a refund or product exchange on opened product and without proof of purchase.

For Seasonal Items that may not available for a product exchange, a credit of the lowest final retail will be applied to a gift card.

Proof of purchase is required for all Garden Centre Merchandise refunds/exchanges. There are no refunds on annual flowers or plants. Perennials are eligible for a refund or exchange for up to one year after purchase with the receipt.

Upon refund or exchange, your signature, name, address and phone number may be required for audit purposes. Proof of identification may also be required.

*It is preferable that product is returned to the store where purchased. Effective April 24, 2006.

Simply return the item and receipt to the same store where the purchase was made within 14 days for refund or product exchange. Please refer to our Return Policy above for further details.

4. How do I get a particular employee recognized for his / her superior service?
Customer Service is important to Food Basics, and we always appreciate when you take the time to recognize a helpful employee. Please feel free to fill out a postage paid "We'd Like To Hear From You" form available at stores or contact our Customer Care Department online with your comments and we will happily forward your comments to the appropriate Store Manager.
5. What if I'm unhappy with the service I received at a store?
If we disappoint you, we want to address it immediately! Please feel free to approach the Store Manager to share your concerns.
